We would like to inform you about the start of the regional, educational project 11 COUNTRIES organized by Terazije Theatre, Belgrade Serbia and Dance magazine Orchestra, Belgrade, Serbia in collaboration with the Jacob’s Pillow School (USA), under the auspices of the U.S. Embassy in Belgrade .
The first edition of the 11 COUNTRIES project, include the implementation of practical and theoretical training in the field of musical theater run by the renowned choreographer and teacher Chet Walker (New York, USA) based on the methodology of educational practices and long-term educational school The Jacob’s Pillow, the United States.
During the two weeks of this regional educational platform (05 – 17. March 2012, Terazije Theatre, Belgrade, Serbia), twenty young professionals from 11 countries of the region will attend the Belgrade musical theatre workshop that includes classes in jazz dance, dance techniques, step dance, singing and acting, as well as classes that would be focused on pedagogy and choreography. At the end of this unique project, which is the educational art form crisscrossed 11 countries of the region, participants are awarded a certificate The Jacob’s Pillow School of mastered level of education in the field of musical theater, and two scholarships for summer school The Jacob’s Pillow Summer School 2012, United States.
The registration fee for a two-week educational platform is 100 euros, and it does not cover travel and accommodation in Belgrade.
